SERVICE AND REGAS

Autoregas can cater for all makes and models with R134a & R1234YF refrigerant. This serves 99% of vehicles on the road today. We aim to provide a main dealer quality Service and Regas on your doorstep but offering a much more competitive price. We only service and regas so will not be kicking your tyres and offering to change your brake pads!

Please note boundary charges may apply.

During your car air conditioning service, we will cover all of the following procedures:

System check and visual inspection
Refigerant analysis (R134a)
recover & recycle Refigerant(R134a)
evaCuate system to remove moisture
vacuum leak detection
uv leak detection dye injection
pag oil injection if system requires
refrigerant gas injection to spec

NITROGEN LEAK TESTING

Some vehicles hold their refrigerant better than others; it can sometimes be down to the history of your car or how well it was assembled or re-gassed at the factory.  In the instance the vehicle has no refrigerant at all, Autoregas will perform a nitrogen leak test to pressurise the system enough to satisfy ourselves the system is capable of holding a charge of refrigerant. This is an environmentally friendly solution as refrigerant has a high global warming potential.  If the system passes this will be at no cost to you but must be undertaken in this circumstance.

ANTI BACTERIAL SANITISING TREATMENT

This is a popular professional treatment for those of you who wish to tackle a bad odour in your vehicle, maybe you have just acquired the vehicle and you have inherited pet or smoke smells you wish to eliminate. The odours within your car or truck are most likely to be produced by the levels of cleanliness of the interior, those who are weekly cleaners or non-smokers are less likely to suffer bad odours in their car.  Bad odours can also occur if the air conditioning is not used in the winter, the air conditioning dries the air making it less likely to trap moisture. We offer a professional sanitation treatment is designed to circulate through your ventilation system killing bacteria and unpleasant odours. The ventilation system is mostly inaccessible so using the correct products is essential.

LEAK PROTECTION SEALANT TREATMENT

Sometimes your vehicle cannot hold the pressure of the refrigerant in the system; this is normally an age related problem where a rubber seal or another component starts to perish with old age. These leaks can be extremely difficult and expensive to diagnose. A leak sealant protection product is designed to tighten up the integrity of the system similar to another product called Radweld which is used for the same purpose on you vehicle radiator. The leak sealant protection will only be suitable for very slow rate leaks and although we have had very good feedback on these products we cannot guarantee the success on every vehicle. This is normally appropriate for anyone who doesn’t want to spend up to £1000 repairing the air conditioning and looking for an economical solution!
